For all the information on the new MMANews.com official online radio show (a trend we began back in 2002 that many other tried copying) set for relaunch, visit the new official site for the radio show at http://radio.mmanews.com (http://radio.mmanews.com/).
Back in 2002 the official show for MMANews.com was WrestleZone Radio, the first of its' kind in the pro wrestling field. The show began in 1999 and strictly covered pro wrestling, but due to the late-great Ryan Bennett, we were convinced to jump aboard this bandwagon called mixed-martial arts. From mid-2002-2005 (when the show finally ended) we had adopted the coverage of MMA on the show as well, including bringing on top names in the sport as guests such as Ken Shamrock twice, Chuck Liddell six times, Tank Abbott twice, Bas Rutten was a regular for our weekly MMA insider segment, and so many more we can't even list them here.
Well, since the departure of WrestleZone Radio I've kept my eyes peeled, and I've found the next big thing in online MMA radio. It's called Combat Fighter Zone.
Combat Fighter Zone is a show that was run by Luis Cruz, the guy who used to run the old MMANews.com discussion forums before we relaunched those recently as well. He partnered up with Ultimate Fighter 2 reality star Seth Petruzelli, who is the show's regular co-host alongside Luis, and the two began banging out shows.
Unlike WZR, CFZ Radio was up until this coming Friday's relaunch a taped show with so-so audio quality. Needless to say the audio quality will be perfect now, and we will can the pre-recorded format and begin running shows live. We will archive them for those unavailable to catch us live and we will NOT be charging any kind of fee to listen to the archives either. Everything related to the show is 100 percent free.
We do this stuff for fun.
Our first show scheduled for the relaunch is this coming Friday, June 16 at 2:00PM ET/11:00AM PT. If you can't catch it live, remember it's not a problem as a free archive of the show will be online that same day.
Our schedule for the first month or so is a bit whacky, due to offline commitments of the hosts. We also have a lot of important information on the show not covered in this article. So it's a must that everyone interested in this show check out its' official website by CLICKING HERE (http://radio.mmanews.com/).
From now on the only coverage to the show on the main MMANews.com site here will be pointing out updates on the official radio subsite. So make sure to familiarize yourself with the radio website, bookmark it and continue to check it for all the necessary updates regarding Combat Fighter Zone.
