American starlet Scarlett Johansson, 23, and Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, 31, were married this weekend, their representatives confirmed to US media, declining to give many details.
Us Weekly said the ceremony took place "Saturday evening at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver," Reynolds's hometown, citing Johansson's spokeswoman.
The exchange of vows reportedly happened on an island near the mainland.
The marriage is the first for both. The pair, who had been dating for over a year, announced their engagement in May.
Last month Johansson played down speculation the couple were set to tie the knot.
Reynolds, the star of Van Wilder and Blade: Trinity, had previously been engaged to fellow Canadian Alanis Morissette.
Johansson, 23, made her name in films including The Nanny Diaries, Lost In Translation and Match Point.
She released her first album in May.
