Scott Hall comments on the Comedy Roast incident that saw a comedian make light of Owen Hart’s death in front of a crowd of people. Hall attempted to attack the comedian before being calmed and led out of the building.
“If a guy’s going to make a joke about a dear friend of mine that died and the way he died; I mean a lot of guys have died in wrestling but it was on their own hands. Owen wasn’t one of those guys, he died by a tragic accident, and for this guy to make light of it; it’s making me cry right now, he’s lucky he didn’t get his ass whipped. I’d have gone to jail for it because that’s how pissed off I was. I’m sorry that I used some foul language and stuff like that, but I aint sorry towards the guy and I’d do the same again.”
Hall had developed a close relationship with Hart when the pair were in the WWF in the early to mid 90’s.
