A blogger who is alleged to have leaked nine new Guns N' Roses songs has pleaded not guilty to breaking copyright laws at a Los Angeles court.

Kevin Cogill put tracks from the rock group's long-delayed album Chinese Democracy on his website Antiquiet, federal authorities in California say.

He faces up to three years in prison if convicted, the Associated Press said.

However, this could be extended if the 27-year-old is found to have profited from the leaks, the news agency added.

Chinese Democracy, which has taken a decade to make, is the group's first album in 15 years.

It has been repeatedly delayed but earlier this month it was finally given a US release date of 23 November. No UK date has been confirmed.
