Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has been released from the Los Angeles burns centre where he was being treated after surviving a plane crash.

Barker and disc jockey DJ AM were the only survivors of the accident.

The burns centre said the 32-year-old drummer will continue being treated at home and is expected to fully recover over the next few months.

Barker posted on his MySpace blog: "I can't wait to get out of here. The doctors say I'm healing quickly."

Barker has been updating fans on his recovery since the crash and even posted photos of himself in his hospital bed onto his MySpace page.

DJ AM - whose real name is Adam Goldstein - was released from hospital in September and is also expected to make a full recovery.

Both stars suffered second and third-degree burns.

Two pilots and two other passengers died.

In February 2005, pop punk trio Blink-182 announced they were going on an "indefinite hiatus" with no plans to work together in the future.

The band had nine hits in the UK including All the Small Things in 2000.
