Show

The PPV opened with a montage of WWE superstars acting like voting tonight wasn't important, then changing their minds when they "realize" it controls their future.

Rey Mysterio vs. Kane in the fan's choice of a Falls Count Anywhere match, a No Holds Barred match or a 2 Out Of 3 Falls match.

No Holds Barred won with 39% of the vote. Falls Count Anywhere got 35% and 2 Out Of 3 Falls got 26%

Mysterio was backed against the ropes at the start, but he dodged a charging Kane, sending him to the floor. Rey dove onto him with a somersault senton on the floor, then pulled out a kendo stick and hit Kane with it. They got back in the ring, and Rey tried to use a stop sign, but Kane booted him then whipped him ribs first into the ringpost. Kane hit a baseball slide kick, further pushing Rey into the post. Kane tied Rey's feet with a camera cable, hooked Rey's chin, and pulled him across the ring post. Kane then pulled Rey to the floor and rammed him back first into the ringpost, then tossed him back into the ring. Kane covered Rey for a two count.

Kane whipped Rey into the corner, then slammed him and dropped a legdrop. Kane bent Rey over his knee with a backbreaker, but Rey battled back until Kane dropped him with a boot to the face again. Kane hit another backbreaker, but Rey raked his eyes and hit a kick to the head, then hit an enzugiri. Rey set up for a 619, but Kane came back with another kick. Kane went for a chair, but Rey charged him and Kane lifted him. Rey flipped over him into a reverse DDT. Rey used the chair for a two count, but Kane kicked out again. Kane went for a section of ring steps and set it up in the corner, but Rey slid out of a slam attempt and gave Kane a drop toe hold into the steps. Rey hit Kane in the gut, then the leg, then the head, then the back with a chair. Kane fell in 619 position, but as Rey went for the move, Kane grabbed him by the throat. Kane lifted Rey, who turned it into a rana. Kane fell in 619 position, then Rey hit the move. Rey followed with a springboard splash for the pin at the ten minute mark.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

The Divas were shown in vignettes promoting their costumes for the contest. You can vote on WWE.com for the winner.

Backstage
Chris Jericho tried to convince Ted DiBiase Jr., Manu and Cody Rhodes to take out Batista, showing they could go to the "next level". They refused, noting they may have to defend their belts tonight.

Theodore R. Long and Tiffany entered the control center to announce the results of the ECW match poll.

ECW Championship Match
ECW Champion Matt Hardy vs. the fan's choice of Evan Bourne, Finlay or Mark Henry.

Evan Bourne got 69% of the vote, Finlay 25% and Henry 6%.

Bourne snapmared Hardy, but Hardy took him down with a wristlock. Bourne used a bodyscissors into a victory roll for a two count, then a sunset flip for another two. Hardy tried to grab a Side Effect, but Bourne turned it into a cradle for a two count. Bourne hit a jumping knee, a spin kick and a rana. Hardy sent Bourne to the apron, and Bourne went for a springboard, but Hardy forearmed him to the floor. Back in the ring, Hardy rammed Bourne into the corner, then hit a clothesline for a two count. Hardy hit a clothesline in a corner, then went for a bulldog, but Bourne rammed Hardy in a corner and went for a jujigatame. Hardy escaped, but Bourne armdragged him down and applied an armbar.

Bourne went to the top rope, but Hardy rolled out of the ring. Bourne teased a slingshot, Hardy moved, Bourne put on the breaks and went for an Asai moonsault, but Hardy tripped him and he hit the ropes hard. Hardy pulled Bourne to the floor hard on his back, then tossed him back into the ring. Hardy hit a pair of slams, then delivered a second rope elbow to the back for a two count. Hardy put Evan Bourne in an abdominal stretch, then pulled up on Bourne's leg as well. Bourne punched out of it, only to get decked with a clothesline. Hardy kicked Bourne in the gut, then set up for a Splash Mountain powerbomb, but Bourne turned it into a rana.

Bourne hit some forearms and kicks, but Hardy absorbed them and grabbed a Side Effect for a two count. Hardy hit a second Side Effect, but Bourne kicked out again. Hardy went to the second rope, but as he jumped off, Bourne caught him with a spinkick. Both men were slow to get up. Miz & John Morrison vs. Cryme Tyme won with 38% of the vote. Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase vs. CM Punk & Kofi Kingston got 35% and
William Regal & Layla vs. Jamie Noble & Mickie James got 27%.

Morrison started out with JTG, jockeying for position on the lockup. They broke on the ropes and JTG shoved Morrison. Morrison grabbed a side headlock, but JTG rolled out and hit a back elbow for a two count. Morrison hit a shot to the gut, then a forearm. JTG punched away a backdrop. Miz tagged in, but JTG hit a dropkick and tagged in Shad for a clothesline in the corner. Shad slammed Miz for a one count. Shad slammed Miz, then tagged in JTG and dropped him on top of Miz from his shoulders for a two count. Miz hit a shot to the throat and tagged in Morrison for a double elbow. JTG backed Morrison into his corner for a tag, and Shad tossed JTG into a corner splash on Morrison. Miz and Morrison were thrown to the floor, and Shad press slammed JTG out of the ring onto Miz and Morrison. Shad tossed Morrison back into the ring for a two count.

Miz clipped Shad's bad knee, and Morrison turned the slam attempt into the Midnight Drive for the pin at the ten minute mark.

Winners: Miz & John Morrison.

They showed some more Diva Halloween Costume entrants.

Chris Jericho tried to convince Great Khali to help him out with Batista. No luck there, either.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella vs. the fan's choice of Roddy Piper, Honky Tonk Man or Goldust.

Santino Marella came out to cut a promo, and mentioned Shaquille O'Neal, who was seated at ringside. Santino "realized" he was there, and moved on with his promo, which centered on athletic "has beens".

Honky Tonk Man won with 35%. Roddy Piper had 24% and Goldust had 31%. Piper shook Honky's man for winning the vote. Honky came out, no Jimmy Hart, and took the mic. Honky cut a promo on Santino saying Santino can't sing or dance like the Honky Tonk Man. Honky said Santino could be champion for ten years, and still not be as great as the Honky Tonk Man. Honky then danced, then Santino danced, and hit Honky with a cheap shot. They locked up, and Santino backed Honky into a corner, but Honky reversed out of it. Honky put Santino in a side headlock and hit a right hand. Honky grabbed another headlock, then hit a shoulderblock. Beth Phoenix, from ringside, tripped Honky Tonk, but the referee saw it and disqualified Santino at the less-than-one-minute mark.

Winner via disqualification: Honky Tonk Man.

Santino Marella screamed at Beth Phoenix for costing him the match on this "important" Pay-per-view. As Santino and Beth went to leave, Goldust's music hit and he came out. Then Piper's music hit, and he came out, to a pop. Piper spat his gum at Marella. Marella ran back into the ring to avoid them, and was soon trapped between all three veterans. Goldust gave him a gourdbuster, Piper gave him a series of punches, and Honky Tonk gave Santino the Shake, Rattle, N' Roll neckbreaker. Honky Tonk man slipped, I think on Goldust's wig, as he got up.

The history leading to Big Show vs. Undertaker was shown. Chavo Guerrero wheeled out Vickie Guerrero to announce the winning stipulation for the Big Show-Undertaker match.

The Undertaker vs. Big Show with the fan's choice of a Knockout Match, an I Quit match or a Last Man Standing match.

Last Man Standing scored 49%, I Quit got 42%, and Knockout match got 9%. Vickie said the I Quit match won, but that appeared to be a miscue of some kind, as she then read down all the choices, then announced Last Man Standing as the winner (which we already knew since the graphic was already up).

Undertaker entered first, then Big Show entered, smiling. They threw punches at the start, with Undertaker connecting and putting Show against the ropes. Taker went for a whip, but Show sent him over the top rope and to the floor. Show followed him out, and they threw punches again, with Show hitting some body blows before headbutting Undertaker. Show tossed Undertaker into the timekeepers area. Undertaker grabbed Show and yanked him chest first across the security wall. Undertaker then hit Show in the head with a chair. Show stumbled back towards the ring and crawled in. Undertaker got in and hit two avalanches in the corner. Show reversed a whip, but ran into an Undertaker boot. Undertaker hit the ropes, but ran into a clothesline by Big Show. Show headbutted Undertaker, then hit some body blows in a corner. Show headbutted Undertaker, pulled him out of the corner, then headbutted him to the mat. Big Show dropped a leg, and the referee began the ten count. Undertaker was getting up at seven when Show stomped Undertaker down, kicking him from the ring.

Big Show put Undertaker up against the ringpost, but missed with a chairshot. Undertaker hit some punches, then put the chair under Show's chin and rammed it into the ringpost. Show went down in a heap at ringside, and the referee got up to eight before Show was up. Show went to crawl back into the ring, but Undertaker punched him and kicked him in the face. Undertaker hit a forearm to the chest, then hit the ring apron legdrop. Show crawled into the ring. Undertaker hit some punches and kicked at Show's leg. Big Show blocked another whip attempt and hit a short arm clothesline. Both men were down on the mat, with Show up at five and Undertaker getting up at eight. Show headbutted Undertaker, then hit a series of punches and kicks to the gut. Taker dared Show to hit more, and Show headbutted Taker twice. They traded punches and headbutts, then Show hit more body shots. Taker hit some unanswered punches, but Show hit a knee to the gut, then headbutted Taker into the ropes.

Undertaker hit a series of punches, ducked a clothesline by Show, and went for a chokeslam. Show grabbed his own guzzle, knocked Taker's hand away and went for the chokeslam, but Undertaker turned it into a DDT. Show was down for a nine count. Undertaker started throwing punches, but paused due to being winded while Show tried to pull off a turnbuckle pad. It didn't come off, so Show headbutted Undertaker, went to another corner and pulled off the pad. Show went to slam Undertaker into it, but Taker floated over, shoved Show gut first into the exposed turnbuckle, then hit a clothesline. Show got up at nine. Undertaker charged for a kick, but Show moved and Undertaker crotched himself on the top rope, then fell to the floor.

Show came outside and rammed Undertaker into the ring steps. Show hit some body blows, then rammed Undertaker into the Raw announce table. Big Show grabbed a TV monitor and hit Undertaker in the face with it. Show kicked Undertaker over the security wall and into the crowd. Show grabbed a steel chair and approached Undertaker, but Taker punched the chair into Show's face. Undertaker began to climb over the security wall, but Show grabbed Undertaker, pulling him up onto the security wall, then chokeslamming him through the ECW announce table. Undertaker got up at the nine count, barely getting his knee off the ground on what Jim Ross called "a long nine". Undertaker slumped back down, and Big Show approached him. Undertaker threw some punches that had no effect, and Big Show headbutted him. Big Show sent Undertaker back into the ring, and Undertaker got to his feet. Undertaker threw a punch, but Show slammed a right hand into his side. Show continued with kidney punches, but Undertaker came back with punches to the face. Show responded with more body shots, then went for a backdrop and Undertaker counted with a DDT.

Both men were down. Undertaker sat up. Both men were slow to their feet, and Undertaker went for the rope walk. Undertaker jumped off for the forearm, but Big Show caught him by the throat and hit a chokeslam. Undertaker was down for a nine count, and Show called for a chokeslam, then instead clenched his fist. Big Show hit a straight right hand to the face, decking the Undertaker. Taker appeared out cold, but sat up at the eight count, then got his knees off the mat at nine, and slumped against the ropes. Big Show grabbed a chair and blasted Undertaker in the head with it. Big Show then pulled Undertaker up, teasing the jackhammer punch, but Undertaker grabbed the gogoplata (Jim Ross called it the "Death Valley Vice", so maybe it has a name now). Show tapped like crazy, but the match can't be stopped on a tapout. Undertaker released the hold, and Show seemed to be out cold. The referee counted, and Undertaker got to his feet just at the ten count to be declared the winner at the twenty minute mark. Undertaker then slumped down in the corner.

Winner: The Undertaker.

After the match
They showed Chavo Guerrero wheeling Vickie away from the Cyber Sunday Control Center. Big Show eventually rolled out of the ring, clutching his throat as he walked off. A tired Undertaker stood up, then posed in the center of the ring.

Backstage
Chris Jericho pleaded his case to Raw General Manager Mike Adamle, saying he had no chance of retaining his championship if the referee stipulation stood. Jericho tried to intimidate Adamle, who wouldn't back down. Suddenly, Jericho looked at his phone, then said he and Adamle would discuss it later and walked off.

A WWE Diva Halloween Costume contest

Tazz announced that voting in the Halloween Costume contest was over, and brought out all the Divas in their outfits. After a really long drum roll, Mickie James, who was dressed as Tomb Raider, won. Then a huge brawl broke out with all the Divas. The heel Divas were all thrown out of the ring, and the babyface Divas were left standing.

Winner: Mickie James.

The history leading to the WWE Championship match was shown.

WWE Championship Match
WWE Champion Triple H vs. the fan's choice of: Jeff Hardy, Vladimir Kozlov or a Triple Threat match with both men

Jeff Hardy won with 57%, Kozlov had 5% and 38% wanted the Triple Threat match. Unlike the other matches, Hardy and Kozlov were not standing together when the results were revealed.

They locked up, with HHH backing Hardy into the corner. He broke clean, then reminded Hardy how close he gets to the title without winning it. Hardy grabbed a hammerlock, but Triple H used a drop toe hold to escape, only for Jeff to grab it again. Triple H reversed, grabbed a side mare, and took Jeff down. Jeff shoved off Triple H, fell down to a shoulderblock, but hit a hiptoss. Triple H hit an upkick, but as he got to his feet Jeff grabbed an armdrag. Hardy leapfrogged Triple H in a corner and teased a Twist Of Fate, but Triple H countered and set up for a Pedigree, but Hardy shoved it off. They locked up again and traded headlocks and headscissor reversals until Hardy scored with another armdrag. There was a "Hardy" chant as Triple H broke out of an armbar with shoulderblocks in the corner. Triple H ran into a back elbow and Hardy went to the top rope, but Triple H shoved him off the top and Hardy crashed into the security wall on the floor.

Hardy crawled back into the ring, and HHH tossed Hardy shoulder first into the ringpost, then cradled him for a two count. Triple H applied an armbar, but Jeff punched out of it. He kicked away a backdrop, then went for a mule kick, but Triple H dodged it and scored a two count, then went back to work on the arm. Hardy punched out of it again, but Triple H caught him with a facebuster on the knee. Triple H then ran the ropes, but Hardy caught him with a clothesline. Hardy hit a double legdrop between the legs, then a dropkick to a seated HHH for a two count. Triple H reversed a whip, but Hard floated over a slam and hit a gourdbuster for a two count. Hardy hit a clothesline in the corner, then went for the elevated kick, but Triple H caught him and hit a spinebuster for a two count.

Triple H whipped Hardy into a corner, but Hardy jumped onto the ropes and went for a bodypress. HHH caught it and drove Jeff into the mat with a Crippler Crossface. Hardy started to go towards the ropes, but Triple H pulled him back into the middle of the ring with the crossface. Hardy reversed it into a cradle for a two count. Triple H got to his feet quickly and kicked Hardy out of the ring. Triple H went to the floor and tried to whip him into the steps, but Hardy reversed it and sent Triple H into the steps. Hardy then took a running start, and jumped off the ringsteps into a leg lariat, sandwiching Triple H into the security wall.

They got back into the ring, and Hardy went to the top rope and hit the Whisper In The Wind. Hardy went to the top again as Triple H was getting up and hit a second Whisper. Triple H kicked out at two. Jeff Hardy hit the elevated kick in the corner for a two count. Hardy called for the Twist Of Fate and measured Triple H for it. Hardy went for it, but Triple H shoved Hardy into the corner. Triple H kicked Hardy and went for a Pedigree, but Hardy pulled his legs out and rolled over for a two count. Triple H went for a sleeper, but Hardy lunged forward and Triple H went into the turnbuckles. Jeff Hardy hit the Twist Of Fate for a two count. Hardy nailed the Swanton Bomb, then instead of going for the cover, went for a second Swanton. This time, Triple H got his knees up and Hardy crashed into them. Both men got up and Triple H went for a Pedigree, but Hardy broke out and hit a mule kick. Triple H fell to the floor. Hardy hit a pescado, then tossed Triple H back into the ring. Hardy went to the top rope, but Triple H punched him in the gut, crotching him in the corner. Hardy leaned over and Triple H grabbed the double underhook, pulled Jeff off the ropes, and hit the Pedigree for the pin at the sixteen minute mark.

Winner: Triple H

After the match
As Triple H exited, he looked back at the ring. Hardy, on his knees, applauded Triple H and HHH nodded at him in return.

They hyped Survivor Series as "the return of John Cena".

The events leading to Chris Jericho vs. Batista were shown.

Batista and Jericho both entered before the referee was announced. Steve Austin won with 74%. Randy Orton got 4% and Shawn Michaels got 22%. All three of them were standing together backstage, wearing referee shirts.

So far:
Benjamin v. Truth sucked
Mysterio v. Kane sucked
Hardy v. Sydal was good

Honestly, Hardy/Sydal was the only match I was expecting to be good. Lets hope WWE SOMEHOW manages to prove me wrong and have GOOD MATCHES FOR ONCE. I'm only watching this cause I have a rigged cable box that gets PPV for free. If it weren't for that I wouldn't watch any WWE ppvs.

Goldust would have put on the best show because he hasn't spent as much time away from the ring. Piper and Honky Tonk are older and would easily have ring rust, and I don't think either of them took much time to sharpen their skills or get in better shape.

I think Goldust would have been far more entertaining, havent we seen enough of Piper for awhile ... I just think Santino/Goldust would have been hilarious

Well, it was an overall decent show. I thought most of the matches were at least decent, none of them were really bad. The tag match wasn't great, and Mysterio and Kane wasn't either, but they weren't too bad, and other than that most of the matches were quite good. Best WWE PPV I've seen in awhile. Much better than No Mercy. I was very disappointed Batista beat Jericho though.
