Contractors painted yellow lines round a Leeds man's car while he was away - then wardens slapped two parking tickets on it.
Bar boss Paul McCarthy returned from a week-long stay with friends to also find the road had been resurfaced except the bit under car, reports The Sun.
Paul, 26, said: "It's laughable. I've written to the council to say I've no intention of paying the parking fines.
"I can't believe the workmen have been so lazy."
A Leeds City Council spokesman said: "The painting around the car is ridiculous. We will be speaking to the contractors to remind them to use common sense in future."
