Revamped version of original Deathmatch included with the latest episode in the adventures of Gordon Freeman
Valve Software's forthcoming Half-Life 2: Aftermath will include a Source version of Half-Life Deathmatch, say reports. No further information on the revamp at this time, although we imagine it'll simply be a cosmetic makeover and feature a combination of classic maps and the original DM weapon line-up. It's possible the developer might choose to add new content, but don't hold your breath.
It was recently announced that Valve plans to ship Aftermath on April 24 and, according to website teamkilled.net, it'll hit your wallet for around 20 USD with the Half-Life 2: Deathmatch tossed in as part of the bundle. April 24 is also the planned release date for Half-Life 2: Platinum, which features Half-Life 2, Aftermath, HL DM: Source, HL2: DM, DoD: Source and CS Source. Expect to fork out around 50 USD for that.
Finally, it's said Valve plans to unleash special pre-order offers for Steam and retail versions of the above HL2 packages. Precisely what form these offers will take is to be revealed soon.
