The reason that Glen Gilbertti and Pat Kenney were released as agents is because TNA president Dixie Carter felt having six-agents for a company that only runs two-hours of TV a week was overkill. Jeff Jarrett was told to pick two to let go as a result. Most of the shows have five matches, and six agents was seen as overkill. With Jim Cornette joining the ranks along with Dutch Mantell, BG James, Savio Vega, Glen Gilbertti and Pat Kenney, the call was made to downsize the agents. Mantell and Cornette were seen as safe, so it was down to Kenney, Gilbertti, Vega and James when the choice came to cut two of them.
