Riverdance star Michael Flatley has credited an 'energy healer' named Michael Doherty for enabling him to return to training and dancing for the first time in three years.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, Flatley revealed a random meeting with O'Doherty had helped him to overcome a mystery virus that struck him in 2006, just before he was due to tour Europe with his 'Celtic Tiger' show.
Flatley said: "Conventional medicine failed to cure me from my mysterious virus. And then, by chance, I met a young man from Ireland called Michael O'Doherty who works on the body's energy.
"When he came to visit me in Ireland, I could barely get out of the chair. Now I feel really good. I'm close to 100% fit."
O'Doherty is based in Ennis, Co Clare, and has run the Plexus Bio-Energy Clinic there since 1988.
