WNW reader Dave Laiosa sent a link to Chairman Henry Waxman's interviews and documents regarding the United States Government investigation into steroid and illegal drug use in pro wrestling. The interviews were conducted in December 2007 and include Vince McMahon, Linda McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Dixie Carter. The latest document on the website is a letter by Henry Waxman to Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy John P. Walters dated January 2, 2009, where he informs him that he will be leaving the Oversight Committee to become Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee. He summarizes his findings of steroid use in professional wrestling by saying that illegal use of steroids and other drugs in professional wrestling is a serious problem that the wrestling organizations are not effectively addressing.

Waxman goes on to say that both WWE and TNA have made efforts to improve their steroid testing programs, but they still suffer from a lack of independence and transparency. He says that the organizations appear unable to effectively prevent the use of steroids and other illegal drugs used by professional wrestlers. Waxman says that over 3 million children and teenagers watch professional wrestling each week and the widespread use of steroids sends them the wrong message. He requests that the ONDCP (Office of National Drug Control Policy) examine steroid use in professional wrestling and take appropriate steps to address the problem.
