An Italian dog owner says her pet saved her life by knocking her out of the way as the roof of her house fell in.
Angelina the labrador jumped up and knocked Maria Tripodi to the ground as they arrived home in Rivoli, after a walk.
And as she picked herself up to put the heroine mutt in the doghouse, she watched in horror as the roof came crashing down on her house.
Experts say the dog probably felt tiny tremors too small for Maria or other humans to pick up.
Ms Tripodi said: ?As we got to the house she just started jumping all over me. At first I thought she was playing around but then she got very aggressive and knocked me down.
"I was furious for a second but then the house crashed down. I just looked around in shock and thought if it had not been for my dog it would have come crashing down on me. She saved me.?
"That dog saved her life. She knew something was wrong and wouldn't let her set foot over the threshold," said one neighbour.
