Tottenham Hotspur are to freeze the price of season tickets for up to two years to help fans struggling in the current economic climate.
In a statement on its website (www.tottenhamhotspur.com), the club said it was also passing on recent reductions in value-added tax (VAT) to its supporters.
'The club is acutely aware of the current economic climate and the uncertainty and concern this has created for many of our supporters,' the statement said.
Today's announcement of a One Hotspur season ticket membership price freeze for up to two years, combined with the current lower VAT rate and other added benefits, has been designed to thank and reward our supporters for their continued and exceptional loyalty to our club and to slightly ease the financial burden that many people are currently experiencing.'
