- Paul Heyman came out and gave a speech. According to reports from the show, a lot of fans were taking it to Heyman after the last two weeks of the ECW product on Sci Fi. Heyman noted that they had to make some sacrifices in order to get ECW back such as The Zombie and Kelly, but that it was back nonetheless. Heyman plugged the July 4 ECW on Sci Fi TV taping in Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center and then introduced Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer came out and talked about how he almost missed the show tonight because his baby girl got a bad bump on her head. He talked about how Beulah said he couldn't miss a show at "The Arena" and that he was glad to be back. Dreamer then challenged Big Show.
- Big Show defeated Tommy Dreamer. The fans were very pro-Dreamer and anti-Big Show.
- Rob Van Dam defeated Kurt Angle to retain the ECW World Heavyweight Title. Dean Malenko acted as the special guest referee. Angle got a mixed reaction, while RVD was insanely over. After the match, RVD thanked the fans on the mic.
