A Belfast teenager has appeared in court accused of trying to kill his mother and another relative.
Robert Brown, 19, of Gotha Street, was charged with attempting to murder Joanne Brown and Stephen Brown on Saturday night.
His 38-year-old mother and a 21-year-old man were injured in a stabbing at Hyndford Street off the Beersbridge Road.
They were taken to hospital and treated for stomach and chest wounds.
A detective constable said police would be objecting to bail, although defence lawyer Mark Campbell told Belfast Magistrates Court court no application was being made at this stage.
He said: "The issue is to find somewhere suitable for Mr Brown to reside."
Mr Campbell added that he was liaising with social services with a view to police lifting their objections.
Mr Brown was remanded in custody to appear again by video-link later this week.
