I just got back from a church by the name of Victory Assembly of God down here in Columbus, GA. Lex Luger was the guest speaker and gave a truly impassioned speech about his life ( He referred to it as the “Old Lex” vs. the “New Lex”). He looked very brittle on the stage but he said this was the first time he could walk without the aid of a cane in months. He talked about his football career, wrestling career, the time he spent in prison, his stroke and paralysis, the death of Elizabeth, the demise of his marriage and his salvation through Jesus Christ. Lots of tears in the crowd. He posed for pictures afterward but he couldn’t sign autographs because he still doesn’t have total control of his motor skills. He now volunteers his time with paralysis patients and does public speaking appearances at churches. I just wanted to let you know that because he seems very sincere with his “second chance” at life.
