It has been announced that 'Desperate Housewives' star Nicollette Sheridan is leaving Wisteria Lane.
TV Guide reports that a representative for the actress said in a statement: "[Nicollette] had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project."
Sheridan played Edie Britt for five seasons; the makers of 'Desperate Housewives', US TV network ABC, gave no details on how the character would leave the show.
However, E! Online columnist Ted Casablanca said that Edie would be involved in a car accident after escaping a plot by new husband Dave Williams (Neal McDonough) to kill her.
