The following is the business report from the UFC 60 "Hughes vs. Gracie" show on May 27th at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Total house: 14,765 in attendance with 10,347 paid for a total gate of $2,900,090.

The main eventers had different deals than anyone else on the card, in that they were guaranteed a large sum of "show money" but were also entitled to a percentage of the pay-per view, which according to early estimates is going to make them a lot of money.

Royce Gracie was given a downside guarantee of $400,000 for the fight, but with the PPV cut he'll wind up making well over a million dollars. That's not even including his own personal sponsors.

Matt Hughes had a downside guarantee of $110,000 and he also takes home a percentage of the pay-per view. Because the show is expected to out-draw possibly all past PPVs (with the exception of maybe one or two) Hughes will be seeing more money than he's ever seen before in the UFC off this fight as well.

Other fighter purses, which are likely just the show money, not including their win bonuses (possibly some do include the win bonus), are as follows:

Brandon Vera ($32,000) def. Assuerio Silva ($8,000)

Diego Sanchez ($24,000) def. John Alessio ($3,000)

Dean Lister ($10,000) def. Alessio Sakara ($10,000)

Melvin Guillard ($10,000) def. Rick Davis ($2,000)

Gabriel Gonzaga ($10,000) def. Fabiano Scherner ($3,000)

Spencer Fisher ($14,000) def. Matt Wiman ($3,000)

Jeremy Horn ($70,000) def. Chael Sonnen ($5,000)

Mike Swick ($10,000) def. Joe Rigs ($12,000)

There was also special bonuses on the show including $10,000 for overall best fight (which probably went to Fisher-Wiman), $5,000 for best knockout win (which probably went to Guillard-Davis), and $5,000 for best submission win (which could have gone to Lister, Vera, or Swick).
