- There is some heat backstage following John Cena’s promo towards Michael Cole on last week’s WWE Raw. It was obviously rib on cole, but the heat is on writer Brian Gewirtz for scripting the line just to get in Vince’s good books, who of course loves to mock people, especially cole.
Gewirtz also wrote the Smackdown promo that Cena made towards Jim Ross last week, saying that “cole had changed a bit”.
Little backstage digs often get through on TV without the masses realizing what’s behind them. The larger problem is writers tend to write to keep Vince happy, rather than to make what the really feel is decent program.
