Jade Goody will not now go ahead with her christening which had been planned for tomorrow as she is too ill to attend.
Her publicist Max Clifford told The Sun newspaper that as a result of the medication she is on, she can only say a few words to visitors before falling asleep.
He said "Jade really wants to be well enough to go home and be christened. If she starts to feel better the christening can be organised at very short notice. We're hoping for the best."
A Church in Essex near to the reality TV star's home has been booked for the christening but Clifford has said it could now take place in the chapel of the hospital where she is being cared for. Her two sons are also due to be christened.
