Darkworks, best known for survival horror game Cold Fear, are no long working on Ubisoft's I Am Alive, the developer has stated on its website.

I Am Alive needs more work, according to Ubisoft, and has subsequently been delayed into the next financial year, running from April 2009 to March 2010.

No specific reasons were given for the switch, but I Am Alive is now in the hands of Ubisoft Shanghai, the same studio responsible for last year's Tom Clancy's EndWar.

"In order to respect the new launch date for this ambitious title," said the studio in a statement, "and Darkworks having other obligations, we have mutually decided to complete development of I Am Alive at Ubisoft Shanghai, as the two studios have collaborated on aspects of the title over the past year. The team at Darkworks has respected its contractual obligations on the project and will be a part of the success of the game when it launches."--
