Ryan Adams married pop star Mandy Moore in jeans and a T-shirt, exchanging silver rings bought from a local jeweller in a ceremony officiated by a pastor the pair just met.
A month after announcing their engagement, the 24-year-old singer and rocker Adams, 34, tied the knot on Tuesday (10Mar09) in front of an audience of one - Pastor Steve Schulte of Savannah, Georgia's Whitefield Chapel At Bethesda Home For Boys.
The couple contacted the minister just a day earlier, after failing to find a judge to marry them.
Moore wore a cream-coloured lacy dress and flat sandals, while her partner wore a T-shirt, sport coat and athletic shoes during the eight-minute ceremony.
And the bride was so happy to be taking Adams as her husband, her eyes welled up with tears and her voice quivered, according to Schulte.
He tells People.com, "She was thrilled to be getting married. She was giddy but not in a childish way. She was obviously so happy."
