Been looking into buying a PlayStation 3 lately? Want to miss out on all the fun your friends are having with Resistance 2 and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift by playing their years-old prequels instead? Then you can look forward to March 29, as apparently Sony will launch a new 80GB PS3 bundle that'll include the Greatest Hits versions of Resistance and MotorStorm. It'll be priced at $399, the same as a standard 80GB PS3, albeit with the added $60 value for the two $30 games that are included.
Joystiq first reported the new SKU, along with a picture taken by a reader from a local Target store (shown above). Kotaku later confirmed the bundle with various Target stores, with employees saying that they're not allowed to start selling their supply until March 29. That puts the street date for this bundle at just a few days passed the end of the Game Developers Conference (running from March 23 to 27), which at least seems to dash any hopes that Sony would announce a price drop at the event (a possibility that Sony themselves have been denying they'd do since last year).
