Sen. John McCain also adds to Web 2.0 resume in Twitter interview with ABC News
New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine is the latest politician to turn to Facebook to get input from constituents.

Corzine is seeking input on state budget plans from his Facebook friends.

Corzine may not have as many Facebook friends as, say, President Barack Obama or Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), but the Democrat governor of New Jersey is looking to take advantage of the social network for some feedback. Late last week, Corzine updated his Facebook page, which has photos, video and links to press conferences, with a request for questions about the budget.

As of this afternoon, Corzine had attracted 29 responses to his queries on the budget, though many are statements rather than questions.

Politicians are increasingly reaching out to constituents using Web 2.0 tools like social networks.

Just this afternoon, ABC News reporter George Stephanopoulos hosted what the television network called a "Twitterview," a Twitter-based interview with McCain.

The back-and-forth Tweets weren't always easy to follow, but included McCain's responses to questions about AIG, Pakistan and Iran, and even a simmering feud between his daughter, Meghan McCain, and well-known Republicans Ann Coulter and Laura Ingraham.
