Officers said they were called shortly before 7am to the cancer-stricken reality TV star's house in Upshire, Essex.
They were a told a Toyota Yaris had been dented and had a window smashed, apparently by vandalism.
Witnesses said the car belonged to a Marie Curie nurse who was looking after Goody.
A police spokesman said officers had gone to Goody's home to gather information about the incident.
The 27-year-old is said to be very weak and spends much of her time sleeping, though friends hope she will rally in time to see her sons Freddie, four, and Bobby, five, on Mother's Day on Sunday.
