An entire village including 22 cottages, a cricket club, a blacksmiths and a manor house has gone up for sale with a £25m price tag.

Picturesque Linkenholt, near Andover in Hampshire, is in an area of outstanding beauty and includes 1,500 acres of farmland and 450 acres of woodland.

The only thing not included is the 12th century village church, which does not belong to the seller, the Herbert and Peter Blagrave Charitable Trust.

Under the terms of the sale, tenants will be allowed to stay in their homes and the estate will be sold as a whole.

A meeting has been held with the close-knit community of around 40, where it was decided to keep the layout of the village the same.

Estate Agent Tim Sherston, from Jackson-Stops and Staff in Newbury, told Sky News: "There has been an unusual amount of interest in the village, so we do expect it to sell."
