Madonna will not be allowed to adopt a second child, a four-year-old girl, from Malawi.
Reuters reports that Ken Manda, registrar for Malawi's High Court, said that Madonna's bid to adopt a second child was rejected because she was not a resident of Malawi.
Madonna's lawyer said that the singer would appeal the decision to the country's Supreme Court.The star adopted her son David in Malawi in 2006; the country's government had said that it would support a second adoption.
