The Pitt, otherwise known as the second piece of downloadable content for Bethesda Softworks' Fallout 3, has experienced a bumpy launch. Alleged file corruptions on Xbox Live, combined with rampant bug reports, have forced the studio to update The Pitt twice now, the latest update hitting yesterday afternoon.

If you downloaded The Pitt and are still having problems, Bethesda has a recommendation: delete it. You don't have to buy the content again, but the company recommends completely re-downloading the content in order to ensure you're playing the most up-to-date version of The Pitt.

Unsure how to do that? Here's how Bethesda explains it on their blog:

Sign in to Xbox LIVE then press the guide button
Go to Settings->System Settings->Memory.
From here, scroll down to Fallout 3 and press A.
Select Fallout 3: The Pitt (Marketplace Content) press A then choose Delete, then Yes to Delete.

If you encounter any more issues, make sure to report them. --
