A man is lucky to be alive after accidentally setting himself on fire when he struck a match in an apparent joke at a petrol station in the US.
The incident was caught on CCTV at the station forecourt in Phoenix, Arizona.
The footage shows one man filling his car up with petrol as his friend walks up beside him and lights a match.
Within seconds, the flame had ignited the petrol vapours, causing an explosion and enveloping the prankster in flames.
As the driver jumped out of the way, a woman can be seen clambering out of the window of the four-wheel drive.
Seconds later, someone else rushes forward, towards the back seat.
The forecourt manager later revealed there was a child in the back seat.
Employers acted quickly to shut off the pumps, preventing the fire from spreading.
The mother of the man who lit the match revealed her son had suffered 20% burns to his body.
