Lawyers for an Ohio woman sentenced to 60 days in jail for ordering magazines in a neighbor's name say they are trying to get the sentence suspended.

The lawyers said Julie Rank-Earley, 47, of Piqua, has been in jail since March 16 and they are awaiting a ruling from Judge Robert Lindeman on a request to suspend the rest of the jail sentence, the Dayton (Ohio) Daily News reported Wednesday.

Rank-Earley, who pleaded no contest to felony tampering with records in February, told authorities she ordered the magazines -- including Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler -- in the name of neighbor Carla Weigandt as retaliation for a disorderly conduct charge that Rank-Earley said was a result of a complaint from Weigandt.

Rank-Earley's lawyers, John H. and Jon Paul Rion, said they want the remainder of the sentence suspended so their client can seek treatment for a medical condition and return to work.
