One of the bigger "storylines," so to speak, of the NFL season last year was the Miami Dolphins' use of the Wildcat Formation -- where (to put it simply) the ball would be snapped directly to a running back rather than the quarterback. When the Wildcat began to spread to other teams, it was practically a foregone conclusion that it'd end up in the next version of Madden -- and now EA Sports has confirmed as much.
A new post on the official Madden NFL 10 blog reveals three pictures of the Wildcat Formation being used in the game (above, you can see Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown preparing to receive the snap). It further promises a forthcoming post will detail the formation in full -- including "its realistic implementation, it's usage, and even footage of it being run."
