Matt Richmond sent this report. ... Last Thursday Jerry Lawler was on the Bob and Tom show, basically to discuss WWE Superstars, since The Bob and Tom show is also on WGN America. The interview was pretty basic. They started talking about King Lawler’s Royal Cruise (as promoted on his web site), wrestling when Lawler was a kid, who he watched while growing up and Lawler in the current state of WWE. Lawler states he’s been wrestling for 37 years and the “best thing to happen to his career” being meeting and wrestling Andy Kauffman. They promote his website, KingLawler.com and his artwork. He talked about how he broke into wrestling by doing artwork of the wrestlers and after Jackie Fargo saw his artwork, he liked it and invited him to the studios. Lawler stated that he has never worked out. He said it’s just not for him, and he’s the exception to the rule. He had a funny quote, that when you’re sweating, it’s really your muscles crying. They promoted Superstars on WGN America again, with Lawler saying that he’s very excited to be a part of the show, and then they said their goodbyes. It was a very fun interview and the hosts seemed genuinely happy to talk to The King.
