As announced on last nights episode of iMPACT!, TNA will be holding this year's Slammiversary pay-per-view at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan. Tickets for the June 21st event go on sale Friday, May 8th. The arena holds up to 24,276 seats for a center-stage concert, not to mention 23,000 for an end-stage concert. This will be by far the biggest arena TNA has ever held an event in stateside.
TNA made the following announcement, regarding the Slammiversary PPV: TNA'S SLAMMIVERSARY 2009 PAY-PER-VIEW IS COMING TO DETROIT TNA's "Slammiversary 2009" pay-per-view event will celebrate seven years of Total Nonstop Action in the Motor City of Detroit. "Slammiversary" will be held at The Palace of Auburn Hills Sunday, June 21 at 8 p.m. ET live on pay-per-view. Tickets for "Slammiversary" will go on sale Friday, May 8 at 10 am at all Ticketmaster locations and charge by phone (248-645-6666).
