Crashing end to Roode's reign as champ
Bobby Roode'sreign as a tag team champion on TNA came to a painful ending on Sunday.
The Peterborough native, one half of the professional wrestling tag team Beer Money Inc. with James Storm,lost their championship belts to Team 3D (Brother Rayand Brother Devon)at the Lockdown pay-per- view in Ph i l a d e l - phia.
What makes the annual show unique is that all the matches involve a cage which surrounds the wrestling ring. Roode's match was dubbed a "Philadelphia Street Fight," meaning weapons were permitted. The 16-minute bout went around ringside and through the crowd and involved chairs, tables and even beer cans.
Near the end of the match Roode attempted to toss Devon into the cage door held open by Storm, but Devon reversed it and send Roode into Storm.
Roode was then lifted up and thrown through a wooden table in the ring and pinned to give Team 3D the win and the TNA tag team titles.
