A jealous lioness spears her mate’s tongue with her claw — as she tries to stop him romping with her love rival.
Safari guide Lee Whittam captured the scene as she roared and swiped at her fella after another female in season called out to him to mate.
Lee, 30, said: “She tried desperately to stop him.
“I’ve never seen such a vicious attack to stop a male.”
Despite fighting tooth and nail, she couldn’t compete with the mane attraction.
He strolled off to join her rival at the Okavango Delta, in Botswana.
And the missus? Guess her pride was wounded.
