Santino Marella pinned Chavo Guerrero with the school boy cradle. Less of a banana-peel finish than usual, as Marella just bailed when Chavo was about to splash on top of him, then immediately got the pin.

The Brian Kendrick, now closer to his 40th birthday than his 20th, took it out on Jamie Noble and got the pin after The Kendrick.

In a match to determine the official number one contender for the United States Heavyweight championship: Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz and William Regal, the latter of whom ate the Trouble in Paradise for the finish. (Imagine that, Kingston, the man WWE had already schedule for the title defense, won the match.) Super Luchas wrestling magazine wrote that this was the best match of the night.

Kelly Kelly and Mickie James won over Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendez, with the same finish (Hornswoggle interference) as they did earlier in the week.

Los Hermanos Colon retained the Unified World Tag Team Championships over legacy with exactly the same finish as Queretaro 24 hours earlier (yet another school boy cradle), this time by Primo on Cody.

David “The WWE Wellness Policy is working” Batista pinned The Big Show after the spear.

Randy Orton retained the WWE Championship in a match against El Rey Mysterio junior though he lost the match via DQ. I should add here that the heat for this match was super. There were more gimmicks for sales and signs for Rey than for any one else on the card except John Cena, who was not on the show as it was his wedding day (MVP was also not on the show – maybe to attend the wedding?) Anyway, The finish of the match can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdHUrGdiXX0, but basically, Rey hit the 619, went on top for the splash, Legacy came out and pushed Rey off, the ref called for the DQ, Legacy did a 2-on-1 on Rey, Batista came out to save and hit a spear or two, then Rey hit the splash on Orton, after which Rey and Dave celebrated.

Tony Chimel during intermission announced the return of WWE in October for the Smackdown crew
