Florida Championship Wrestling TV Report

We are live on tape from Tampa, Florida and your announcers are Dusty ‘No Photos’ Rhodes and Josh ‘That’s not his belly welly’ Mathews.

Match Number One: Justin Angel versus Kris Logan

They lock up and Angel works on the arm but Logan reverses. Angel with a reversal of his own and a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Angel with an arm drag but Logan with an arm drag into an arm bar. Logan with a near fall on a rollup. Angel lands on his feet on a hip toss attempt and then he sweeps the leg. Angel with a rollup for a near fall. Each man tries for a drop kick and then they square off in the center of the ring. They lock up and Logan with an arm drag followed by a drop kick to the knee and a flatline for a near fall. Logan with a monkey flip but Angel lands on his feet and he hits a back elbow. Angel with a rana for a near fall. Angel with a reverse chin lock into a side head lock. Logan with a back breaker to counter a rana attempt for a near fall. Logan with an elbow to the back followed by a slam. Logan puts Angel on his chest and then he tries for a corkscrew leg drop but Angel moves out of the way. Angel with a series of kicks that stagger Logan and Angel with a spin kick that sends Logan to the canvas. Angel with a discus punch. Logan blocks a spin kick and hits an inverted Olympic Slam on Angel for a two count. Angel with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count and then Angel tries for a quebrada but Logan gets his knees up. Angel and Logan exchange punches and forearms. Logan with a crucifix driver for a near fall. Logan charges into boots from Angel and Angel with a satellite DDT. Angel goes up top and hits the 450 splash for the three count.
Winner: Justin Angel

It is time to go to the FCW Spotlight with Wes Brisco. Wes is asked about how being a second generation superstar and a former professional wakeboarder prepared him for the ring. He says that it was crazy growing up in the business because he did not understand it. He talks about how he experienced a number of different cultures. He says that it is his goal to make it to the WWE. We go to commercial.

Match Number Two: Troy Jackman versus Dawson Alexander

They lock up to a stalemate. Jackman with a kick and slam. Alexander with a waist lock take down and Jackman makes it to the ropes. They lock up and Jackman with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Alexander with a slam and an arm drag into an arm bar. Jackman with a forearm but Alexander with a shoulder tackle. Jackman with a hot shot followed by kicks to the back. Jackman chokes Alexander in the ropes and then Jackman with a suplex for a near fall. Jackman with a reverse chin lock and Alexander with elbows to escape the hold. Alexander with a punch and flying shoulder tackle. Alexander with a back elbow and a clothesline for a near fall. Jackman with a forearm to the back. Alexander with a spinebuster for the three count.
Winner: Dawson Alexander

We go to commercial.

We are back and Steve Keirn is in the ring with Fletcher Chase and Abraham Saddam Washington. Keirn reminds them of their challenge. There will be voting for the position of General Manager. Keirn tells them that they will have the authority to put together one match and they cannot use anyone who has already wrestled on the show. They have ten minutes to choose their match with Chase going first.

Washington wants to know what is going on. He tells Keirn that he does not tell him what to do. Washington announces a match between the two of them, and he has one of his security detail pat down Keirn. Keirn pushes him away and Washington threatens him. Keirn puts him in a sleeper. Keirn is ready to kick some butt but he is backed into the corner. Sheamus comes to the ring and he takes care of Washington’s security.

Sheamus stares down Keirn and Keirn offers his hand and Sheamus shakes it.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at the problems between Alex Riley and Johnny Prime.

Match Number Three: Alex Riley and Beverly versus Johnny Prime and Angela

The women start off and they lock up and Beverly with a snap mare but Angela with a matrix to escape. Angela with a back slide for a near fall and then she works on the arm. Beverly with a reversal and Angela reverses as well but Beverly with a slap. Beverly runs to the ropes and Angela follows with the referee getting involved. Beverly with a kick and forearms. Angela blocks a hip toss and hits a rana followed by a slap. Riley tags in and it is time for the men to battle.

Riley goes into the ropes and then he connects with a forearm and punches. Prime with a shoulder tackle and clothesline. Prime with a fireman’s carry into an arm bar. Riley pulls the hair and connects with a knee. Riley sends Prime into the ring post and then he wrings the arm into the rope. Prime with elbows but Riley with a forearm. Riley with a key lock but Prime with punches. Riley with a divorce court to Prime for a near fall. Prime with elbows but Riley sends Prime to the mat with a pull of the hair. Riley returns to the key lock. Prime with an Irish whip followed by a big boot.

The women are back in and Angela with a Thesz Press and drop kicks. Angela with a kick and a head scissors take down. Beverly with a bulldog for a near fall. Angel a with an inside cradle but Riley distracts the referee. Prime and Riley fight on the floor while Angela gets the three count after an inverted DDT set up into a clothesline.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Drew McIntyre has joined Dusty and Josh at the announce table.

Fletcher Chase comes to the ring to announce his match.

Match Number Four: Ten Man Battle Royal to determine the Number One Contender for Drew McIntyre’s FCW Title.

The participants in the match are Dylan Klein, Sheamus O’Shaunessy, Big Papi Sanchez, Eric Escobar, Yosh##atsu, Ricky Ortiz, Lupe Santiago, Bo Rotunda, Tyson Tarver, and Brett DiBiase.

There is pandemonium as the match starts. They pair off as they try to eliminate each other. Sheamus and Tarver go after Sanchez. Four men try to eliminate Sanchez and they succeed. We see a lot of forearms and shoulders as Dylan Klein is throw over the top but he skins the cat to return. His return is short lived as Sheamus clotheslines Klein over the top rope to the floor to eliminate Klein. Ricky Ortiz is able to eliminate Yosh##atsu. Ortiz tries to eliminate Tarver but Tarver with punches to stay in the ring. Lupe Santiagohas been eliminated by Brett DiBiase. Sheamus tries to eliminate DiBiase while Escobar eliminates Rotundo. DiBiase is finally eliminated.

We are down to the final four and it is Sheamus O’Shaunessy, Tyson Tarver, Ricky Ortiz, and Eric Escobar.

Sheamus tries to eliminate Escobar but Escboar holds on to the ropes. Sheamus and Escobar fight on the apron and Tarver eliminates both of them with a shoulder tackle. Ortiz eliminates Tarver to win.
Winner: Ricky Ortiz

We go to commercial.

We are back and Abraham Saddam Washington is in the ring. He tells Keirn and Sheamus that it is game on. He announces his match for tonight’s show. That match will be a Florida Tag Title Match.

Match Number Five: Trent Beretta and Caylen Croft versus Tyler Reks with Johnny Curtis Banned from Ringside for the FCW Tag Titles

Croft with a kick but Reks punches back. Reks with a cross body for a near fall and then he drop kicks Beretta off the apron. Beretta tries to attack him from behind but Reks sees him. This allows Croft to attack Reks and maintain control of the match. Beretta tags in and he punches Reks. Beretta with slam and senton splash for a near fall. Croft tags back in and he kicks Reks in the corner. Croft with a snap mare for a near fall. Reks with a drop kick to Croft. Reks punches Croft and then he takes Croft down with a series of forearms. Reks knocks Beretta off the apron and then he hits a flap jack on Croft for a near fall.

Reks with a punch followed by a version of a Stroke. Reks with the wave elbow for a near fall. Reks with a punch. Beretta makes the blind tag and he tries for a missile drop kick but Reks counters with a sit out power bomb for a two count. Reks sends Croft over the top rope to the floor. Beretta sends Reks into the ropes. Beretta tries for a Tornado
DDT but Reks blocks it. Beretta with a rollup and Croft adds extra leverage for the three count.
Winners: Trent Beretta and Caylen Croft
