The UK Sun reported that World Wrestling Entertainment waited several days to announce that Eddie Fatu (Umaga) had been suspended for the second time under their Wellness Policy as he was released for refusing to go to a company-directed rehab.

Since this was the first time the company had dealt with the firing of a talent due to Wellness-related issues, WWE decided to wait while they reviewed their policy and make the call on how to publicly handle the issue.

For those who may note that Chris Masters was fired during his first run with WWE during a suspension, that is true, but he was announced as suspended and several days into serving it when the company opted to cut him from the roster. The Umaga circumstances were completely different.
