Namco Bandai Games announced the first details behind Macross Ultimate Frontier today in the pages of Famitsu magazine. The game, a PSP shooter and a direct sequel to last year's Macross Ace Frontier, will come out this fall in Japan.
Early impressions show that Ultimate Frontier is a pretty straightforward update to the original game, an action title that recreated famous scenes from the Macross series of anime TV shows and movies. Sequences from OVA series Macross Zero (2002) and Macross Dynamite 7 (1997) will make their debut in Ultimate Frontier, and the mission libraries from other shows will feature a wealth of new additions.
