Any wins or successes you may have had so far in the 1 vs. 100 beta on Xbox Live have likely been bittersweet -- it's nice to win, but knowing that wins in the future can land you prizes has to sting a bit. Come this Friday, that will no longer be a problem as Microsoft will be introducing prizes into the mix during Live Play, ranging from Xbox Live Arcade games up to as many as 10,000 Microsoft Points.
As you'd expect, being either the One or in the mob is your best chance to win. Playing as the One, if you're so lucky as to be selected, you earn points for each member of the mob that you knock out, up to a total of 10,000 if you can eliminate every single member. On the flip side, should the One make a mistake, the remaining members of the mob will be able to earn an Arcade game and a share of the One's Microsoft Points. If you're like most people stuck playing in the crowd, there is still a chance -- albeit a small one -- for you to get in on all the prize winning. The three highest scoring members of the crowd will be awarded with an Arcade game. This is all in addition to being entered into a sweepstakes to win a Zune or a home theater system just by simply answering questions during both Live and Extended Play.
The next scheduled Live Play session is this Friday, July 10 at 7PM PST. You'll need to be an Xbox Live Gold member to participate.
