Next week, LucasArts will release The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition for the Xbox 360 and PC. And, according to what we're pretty really sure is a strong hint on Twitter, it looks like the game will eventually be coming to iPhones as well. LucasArts twitpic'd a wallpaper for the game (via VG247), with this subtle accompanying tease:
"For our Monkey fans - an iPhone sized wallpaper. No reason. Wink wink nod nod."
No reason, indeed. The point-and-click adventure game would make perfect sense on Apple's iPhone, so it's not a big surprise to see the game released on the platform. Still, this isn't technically confirmed, so we'll have to wait and see when LucasArts decides to make it official.
