Listen up, Pearl Jam fans. Billboard reports (via Shacknews) that when their forthcoming new album "Backspacer" releases on September 20, gamers will be able to download it in full on the same day as DLC in Rock Band.
In addition to simply purchasing the songs on the Rock Band music store in-game, Target will also be selling an exclusive version of the album that'll come with a voucher to download the songs in Rock Band as well. The full track list includes:
"Gonna See My Friend"
"Got Some"
"The Fixer"
"Johnny Guitar"
"Just Breathe"
"Amongst The Waves"
"Unthought Known"
"Supersonic"
"Speed Of Sound"
"Force Of Nature"
"The End"
And in a related tidbit of interest, Billboard's story also calls this DLC a "precursor" to what may be a "dedicated Pearl Jam game that could hit stores in 2010." Although Billboard also reports that MTV Games wouldn't confirm the details about this project, it sounds like Pearl Jam Rock Band could be the next band-dedicated game following The Beatles Rock Band coming later this year. We wonder... could that have anything to do with the Rock Band co-sponsored fan vote to choose Pearl Jam's best live-version songs for a mysterious project last May?
