The News: Activision has announced that as other consoles are receiving their night-vision goggles with Modern Warfare 2, Wii users won't be left out in the cold. Treyarch is handling a Wii port of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to release day and date alongside its sequel.
Our Take: Wii owners will appreciate the ability to play the highly-regarded title, even if the graphical fidelity will be dialed (way) down. On the other hand, the Wii's online infrastructure isn't as feature-rich as the other current generation consoles, which could put a damper on the game's most popular feature. Hopefully Treyarch is working hard to create a solid multiplayer experience, or a big part of the game's appeal will be lost.
