It's been delayed before, and now it looks like Batman: Arkham Asylum will be delayed again, but only if you want to play it on the PC. Eidos Interactive has just announced that PC owners will have to wait until September to play Arkham Asylum.
According to director Sefton Hill, the game is being delayed one more time so that Eidos can implement Nvidia's PhysX technology. With the new tech enabled, Arkham Asylum will feature "volumetric fog" that reacts to Batman's movements, and cobwebs that tear as he passes. And during combat, it's possible for all manner of items to kicked up, including soda cans and breaking glass.

"Supporting NVIDIA PhysX technology has allowed us to add that little bit extra to the PC version of the game," Hill said.

"As Batman interacts with the world, the aging asylum creates a more immersive, believable world which really draws the player in."

The delay doesn't appear to have affected the demo, which is due Friday on both the PC and consoles. After that, the console versions will be available August 25 in North America, while the PC version will arrive with its new bells and whistles on September 15.
