Former Spice Girls star Victoria Beckham has confirmed she will appear on the upcoming series of American Idol - but only for one episode.
Tabloids speculated that the pop star-turned-fashion designer was set to replace longterm Idol star Paula Abdul on the judging panel after she quit the series on Tuesday (04Aug09).
But while the 35 year old has confirmed she will record an episode of the hit TV talent series alongside Simon Cowell, the role won't be permanent.
A spokesperson for Beckham tells Hello! magazine,"Yes Victoria will be making a 'one-off' appearance as a guest judge."
