Is the wild west back in fashion? Maybe not yet, but at least the genre is getting its fair share of video games, with the latest destined for "digital distribution on both consoles and PC." Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild Westis a team-based multiplayer shooter under development by Fatshark AB, which is partly owned by GRIN. As a consequence of its pedigree, Lead and Gold will be using the Diesel engine, which was also used for Bionic Commando. When Lead and Gold is released, it'll face competition from Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, which has an online component of its own. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption is also due sometime next year. No word on whether Lead & Gold will be arriving on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network or both, but it appears that we'll know more when Gamescom rolls around later this month.
