Konami has announced a temporary price cut for Metal Gear Solid Touch on the iPhone, from the regular $7.99 to $2.99. That's quite a discount, but it only lasts through tomorrow, August 15. After that, it will raise back up to its regular launch price point.
The game is a recreation of Metal Gear Solid 4, styled as a tap-based shooter. An update granted it eight more missions and some wallpapers to earn, and this latest price cut seems like another move from Konami to spur on sales of the game. It received a decent but unimpressive reception in most reviews. Eight bucks may have been too steep for what has been called a visually impressive shooting gallery, but three could be just about right if you haven't picked it up yet.
