I think I know what the WWE is doing. By hiring people they can't go to TNA for 90 days. So they hire them and then fire them right away, there for, TNA can't get them. Of course TNA would never want Eugene but this is how it starts.

Not sad to see him gone... I didn't want WWE to hire him again anyway!

What the hell were they thinking in hiring him back just to fire him 2 weeks later though?!?!

World Wrestling Entertainment has already released Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore, they announced this afternoon. Dinsmore was re-hired last month by the company.

Dinsmore had just made his return to WWE TV on Raw this past Monday, losing to a masked Miz in a bout where the winner received "a Raw contract."

Dinsmore, at one point considered one of the best of the developmental talent in Ohio Valley Wrestling, was brought to WWE in 2004 as the simpleton nephew of then-Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff. There was a time period where the character became an extremely popular part of the Raw storylines before fizzling out.

Dinsmore was later moved over to the Smackdown brand. While dealing with several injuries, there were a number of Wellness related issues that later led to his September 2007 release.

Since that release, Dinsmore had been working independents under the moniker "UGene" and had returned to OVW under his real name.

The belief was he had been brought back to WWE to work with younger talents, but he's been released before that could be put into practice, obviously.

The WWE statement on their website reads:

"WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Eugene as of August 14, 2009. We wish Eugene the best in all future endeavors."
