TNA champion Kurt Angle's hearing regarding his arrest this past Saturday morning has been pushed back to 9/15 at 10:00 AM. The hearing was changed due to Angle's TNA schedule.

Angle is currently free on $10,000 bond.

Hearing delayed for wrestler Kurt Angle

A preliminary hearing has been rescheduled for next month for professional wrestler Kurt Angle in connection with his arrest Saturday morning on charges that he violated a protection from abuse order obtained by his girlfriend earlier in the day.

Mr. Angle, 40, remains free on 10 percent of $10,000 bond, pending a hearing scheduled at 10 a.m. Sept. 15 before District Judge Carla Swearingen in Robinson.

Mr. Angle, of Moon, who is the reigning world heavyweight champion of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, was picked up around 7:50 a.m. in the parking lot of a Giant Eagle and Starbucks in Robinson.

That's where his estranged girlfriend, Trenesha Biggers, 27, told police she had taken refuge after she had obtained a protection from abuse order, Downtown, just 90 minutes earlier.

She told police Mr. Angle, who already had abused her physically, had been stalking her from outside a Starbucks where she was using a computer to send e-mails.

She said she was afraid to use her home computer because Mr. Angle lives there, the affidavit said.

Outside, police confiscated a Blackberry cell phone from Mr. Angle that Ms. Biggers said belonged to her. She said she was concerned Mr. Angle was erasing text messages and cell phone photos she had taken of injuries she suffered at his hands.

Mr. Angle denied stalking Ms. Biggers. He said after police in Moon forced him to leave his residence because of the PFA order, he was searching for a hotel when he was spotted outside the Giant Eagle.

In addition to the PFA violation, Mr. Angle also was arraigned on charges of harassment, possession of the human growth hormone Hygetropin, and possession of a syringe to use the controlled substance, police said.

Mr. Angle told police the drug is prescribed to him legally, the affidavit said.

The preliminary hearing initially had been set for tomorrow before Judge Swearingen.

The date was changed because Mr. Angle was scheduled yesterday to record a pay-per-view title match in Orlando, Fla., were he topped the bill at a TNA Wrestling event. The match is to be to be aired tonight.

Ms. Biggers, formerly of Illinois, also is a wrestler in TNA's women's division. She performs under the name Rhaka Khan.

Ms. Biggers, who also is a model, has wrestled under the names "Panther Claw" and "Black Barbie."
