Vegas Police Search Mayweather’s Home

LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas Metro Police served a search warrant Monday at the home of Floyd Mayweather Jr. after they said the boxer’s car was found at the scene of a shooting.

Police would not say what they were looking for at Mayweather’s home. It’s unknown whether he was home when officers arrived.

The shooting happened at the Crystal Palace, a skating rink on Boulder Highway. The property, which caters to families, holds “all-day skate” events until 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Metro Lt. Patrick Charoen said no one was hurt in the shooting, but a vehicle was hit with several bullets between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Mayweather Jr. isn't named as a suspect. Charoen said witnesses only identified his vehicle, which drove away.

TMZ.com have spoken with Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s father regarding the story that police were searching his Las Vegas home today in conjunction with a shooting incident at a skating rink on Sunday. According to the elder Mayweather, the police were looking for a gun and they "ransacked" the home, but didn't find anything. The police reportedly want to talk to Floyd Mayweather Jr. about the shooting, since a car belonging to the boxer was seen at the rink on Sunday. Mayweather's father said the car was there because his son takes his children to the rink to skate on Sundays.
